Clint Cassidy is also involved in the North & West Seniors’ Knockout Singles Final against Dean B.C. at Trinity on Tuesday 10 September at 2.00pm. All the best, Clint.
The President’s Select will take on a team of Past Presidents/Captains at 2.00pm on Saturday 14 September. There is still time to add your name to the list of participants on the ‘Mixed’ Notice-board if you are available to play.
Finally, a wee ‘heads-up’ on a couple of upcoming events on the green :
1. The annual Ladies vs Seniors match will take place at 2.00pm on Wednesday 18 September. There are separate list on the Ladies’ and Seniors’ Notice-board if you can participate in this always enjoyable game.
2. The Seniors’ Friendly against Carrickknowe B.C. is scheduled for 2.00pm on Friday 20 September at Carrickknowe. We are looking for 6 rinks for this match so please add your name to the list on the Seniors’ Notice-board if you can play.

Firstly, we have a couple of congratulations to pass on :
1. To Faye Stevens who won the Ladies’ President’s competition on Thursday afternoon. Well done, Faye.
2. To the Gents’ EBL Knockout Fours (Willie Stoddart, Dougie Wilson, David Sutherland and David McNiven) who beat Carrickknowe B.C. in the semi-final of their competition on Thursday evening and will now play Currie B.C. in the Final on Saturday 7 September at 2.00pm at Whitehouse & Grange. Well done, guys, and all the best in the Final. Please try to get along to Whitehouse to support the team if you can.
The Ladies’ Page Two-Bowl competition will be held on Monday 2 September at 1.30pm. We are sure that all ladies involved will have a great afternoon.
The Ladies’ Friendly against Blackhall B.C. will take place away on Tuesday 3 September and as a consequence there will be no ‘formal’ Hat Day but members can come along for a ‘bounce’ game if they wish. In addition, please note that the Ladies’ Clark Fours has been re-arranged for Tuesday 10 September and there will be no Hat Day that afternoon.
Our RMBA team was successful in their Knockout match against Mayfield B.C. last Thursday and now take on either Hillside or Merchiston B.C. away in the semi-final on Thursday 5 September at 1.30pm. All the best, boys.
This year’s Club Pairs Final involving Faye Stevens and Gordon Birnie against Mohindra Dhall and Bill Cumming will take place at 2.00pm (ish!) on Saturday 7 September. All the best, guys.
This year’s ‘Rugbowl’ match involving players from Corstorphine Bowling Club and Corstorphine Rugby Club will be held at 12.30pm on Sunday 8 September. We are sure that everyone involved will have a great day. Please note that the dress code for the day will be ‘smart-casual’ (no jeans!!).

In the EWBA Singles (Steel Trophy), Theresa Blair won her quarter-final match at Carrickknowe last Saturday and will now play Ann Blake from Balerno B.C. at Goldenacre on Wednesday 28 August at 1.30pm. If successful, Theresa will play in the Final at Willowbrae on Friday afternoon at 1.30pm. All the best, Theresa.
Our other Ladies’ teams continue their EWBA Championships campaigns this week with the Triples in action at Liberton and the Fours at Trinity on Monday afternoon at 2.00pm. If successful, they will progress to the semi-final stage on Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm with the Triples at Goldenacre and the Fours at Wardie. Hopefully, they will all then take part in the Finals at 1.30pm on Friday 30 August at Willowbrae. Good luck to all the ladies involved.
Our Ladies’ Triples will take on Tanfield B.C. in the semi-final of the EBL Knockouts at Brunstane on Thursday evening at 6.45pm. If successful, they will compete in the Final to be staged at Whitehouse & Grange on Sunday 1 September at 2.00pm. All the best, girls.
In addition, our Gents’ Fours will be in action against Carrickknowe B.C. in the semi-final of their EBL Knockout competition at Edinburgh West End on Thursday 29 August at 6.45pm. Good luck, guys.
