Welcome, Ladies, to our 2023 season

As Lady Captain, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2023 season.

With your help and support, I hope that we will have an enjoyable year both on and off the green.

My chosen charity is Alzheimers Scotland. Please support this worthwhile cause if you can.

Delivering-the-first-bowl — Chris Bentley delivering the first bowl of the 2012 Season

Ladies have always been an integral part of Corstorphine Bowling Club and players since 1905, however the Ladies section was not established until 1961. Find out more about our Ladies section in the pages linked below.

Each year the Ladies Captain nominates a charity and raise funds by holding various events during the year. In 2016 the nominated charity was Maggies Centre and a total of £2129 was reached.

The above picture shows the presentation of the money raised in 2011, the Ladies Golden Jubilee year. The funds were for the MS Therapy Centre Lothian, based in Leith, to continue its support of over 200 people in Edinburgh living with MS.
