Please read the attached document which details the bowling events involving our Club during the week beginning Monday 6 July.

Our Ladies will take on Blackhall B.C. away in the next round of the EWBA Top Ten on Monday 6 July at 2.00pm. Good luck, girls.

 

The Ladies have their annual Friendly match at home to Kilmarnock B.C. on Tuesday 7 July at 2.00pm. We are sure that everyone involved will have a great afternoon.

 

Our Gents’ Top Ten representatives are in action away to Leith B.C. on Tuesday evening at 6.30pm.  All the best, guys.

The Gents’ EBA Edinburgh Cup match at home to Craigentinny B.C. will take place on Friday 10 July at 6.45pm.  Stick in, guys.  Please try to get along to the green to support the boys in this match.

 

Then, on Sunday 12 July, our Ladies will take on Carrickknowe B.C. in the semi-final of the EBA Edinburgh Cup at 2.00pm at Parkside.  Good luck, girls.  Again, please try to get along to Parkside to support the ladies, if you can.   

 

Also on Sunday 12 July, our representatives in the EBA Mixed Rink competition (Pat Reid, Ronnie McLaren, Ian McLaren and David McGuire) will take on Balerno B.C. at Bainfield at 6.30pm. All the best, guys and gals.  At the same time, we will be hosting two ties in this competition on the green.

 

Finally, a wee ‘heads-up’ about upcoming events :
 

1. The annual Centenary Trophy will be held on the green at 2.00pm on Saturday 18 July.  Please add your name to the list on the ‘Mixed’ Noticeboard if you wish to participate.

2. On Sunday 19 July, we are having the annual Strawberry Fayre on the green and in the Clubhouse at 2.00pm.  This is an opportunity to bring friends and family along to the Club for a wee game of bowls with some strawberries and ice cream.  Please add your name to the list in the main hall if you want to be involved.

3. We will be hosting the annual Invitation Pairs competition on the green on Sunday 2 August. Please add your name (and that of your ‘external’ partner) to the list on the ‘Mixed’ Noticeboard if you wish to participate in this very enjoyable day.
4. Our Senior Gents’ will hold the annual Hyland Rigg competition on Friday 7 August at 2.00pm. There is still plenty of time to add your name to the list on the Senior Gents’ Noticeboard if you can play in this event.

5. Finally, the annual Gents’ Friendly at Blackhall B.C. is scheduled for Wednesday 12 August at 6.15pm.  Please note the change in date for this match – it was originally set for Wednesday 19 August.  There is a list on the Gents’ Noticeboard for those who wish to play in this game.
