Events week 10 – 24th June
Dear Members,
Please read the attached document which details the bowling events involving our Club during the week beginning Monday 24 June.
Congratulations to our ladies who have qualified for the semi-finals of the EBA Edinburgh Cup by defeating Dean B.C. last Tuesday evening. Well done, girls.
Our ladies compete in the EWBA Top Ten first round away to Blackhall B.C. on Monday afternoon at 2.00pm. All the best, girls.
The first rounds of the North & West Knockouts take place this week. On Friday afternoon, our Triples (John Cowe, David McGuire and Brian Howe) will be in action at Trinity B.C. at 2.00pm. Then, on Saturday, Ronnie Clark has a match away to Dean B.C. in the Singles at Noon. All the best, guys.
On Sunday 30 June, the annual Millar Cup competition for Mixed Pairs will be held on the green at 2.00pm. We are certain that everyone involved will have a wonderful afternoon.
Finally, a wee reminder of several upcoming events :
Please note that the lists for entry to the Senior Gents’ Pairs and Triples will be closed on Monday 24 June. There is still a little time to add your names to these lists if you wish to take part.
- The annual Ladies’ Friendly at home to Kilmarnock B.C. will be held at 2.00pm on Tuesday 9 July.
- We are still looking for a few names (7) for the Gents’ Friendly with Carrickknowe B.C. at home on Saturday 13 July at 2.00pm. Please add your name to the list on the Gents’ Noticeboard if you wish to participate in a very enjoyable afternoon.
- With our ladies qualifying for the Edinburgh Cup semi-final, there is now a ‘clash’ with our annual Clark Triples on Sunday 14 July. We are currently looking into rescheduling the Triples competition. Please watch this space!!
- We will be holding the Centenary Trophy competition on Saturday 20 July at 2.00pm. There is still time to add your name to the list on the ‘Mixed’ Noticeboard if you wish to participate.
- The annual Strawberry Fayre will be held on Sunday 21 July starting at 2.00pm. There will be a list in the main hall in the Clubhouse for those members (and family and friends) who wish to be involved. This is always a very good day. Please try to get along to the Club to support it.
