Events Week 22 – 16th September

Please read the attached document which details the bowling events involving our Club during the week beginning Monday 16 September.
Congratulations to the following who won their Competition Finals last week :
– Val Mather and Marcia Norton for the Ladies’ Page Two-Bowl Pairs
– Jim MacKay for the Senior Gents’ Championship
– Sandy Lyon for the Senior Gents’ Two-Bowl
– Theresa Blair and Bernie Callaghan for the Birnie Mixed Pairs

– George Oliver for the Vice-President’s
– Chris Bentley for the Ladies’ Two-Bowl
– Sandy Lyon and Bill Cumming for the Club Pairs
There are two Finals scheduled this week. On Monday, at 11.00am, Beryl Sutherland and Joan Mitchell will be in action against Gladys Christie and Chris Bentley in the Ladies’ Nominated Pairs. Then, on Thursday, at 3.30pm, the Senior Gents’ Nominated Pairs final involving Frank Ross and Bill Cumming against Les Brown and Ricky Stevens will take place. All the best, ladies and gents. Please try to get along to the Club to support the players in these matches.
Our Senior Gents’ RMBA ‘A’ team have their Top Ten semi-final away to Brunstane B.C. on Monday afternoon at 1.30pm. All the best, guys.
Our Ladies have their annual Friendly at home to Carrickknowe B.C. at 2.00pm on Tuesday 17 September. We are sure everyone taking part will have a great afternoon.
On Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm, our Seniors’ Top Ten will take on Carrickknowe B.C. at Tanfield in the semi-final of this competition. Stick in, guys
If we are successful on Monday afternoon, our RMBA Top Ten team will take on either Hillside B.C. or Craigentinny B.C. in the Final at Craigentinny on Thursday afternoon at 1.30pm.

Then, on Friday 22 September, the Ladies’ Closing Day will take place and, on Saturday 23 September, the Club Closing Day is scheduled. Both of these events start at 2.00pm on the green. What a quick season it has been. Doesn’t time fly when you are enjoying yourself!!!
It has been agreed that the green will remain open for another week after Closing Day – primarily for the completion of Mini League games.
