Dear Members,

Please read the attached document which details the bowling events involving our Club during the week beginning Monday 2 May.

Our Ladies’ Heather League team have their first game against Carrickknowe B.C. on Monday afternoon with one rink at home and one away. In addition, the Ladies Edinburgh Bowling Association team have their first League match at home to Tanfield B.C. on Monday evening. All the best, girls.

Our Senior Gents’ North & West teams have their first League matches on Tuesday afternoon with the ‘A’ team away to Willowbrae B.C. and the ‘B’ team at home to Dean B.C. Good luck, guys.

The first Gents’ Edinburgh Bowling Association matches are scheduled for Wednesday (4 May) evening with the First XVI at home to Slateford B.C., the Second XVI away to Slateford B.C. and the Third Team at home to Maitland B.C. All the best, guys.

The Ladies’ Bowls Scotland Singles Qualifying takes place next weekend. On Saturday 7 May, our representatives (Chris Bentley and Joan Mitchell) will take on Colinton B.C. ‘A’ and ‘B’ respectively at Braid B.C. at 2.00pm and, if successful, will have a further match on Sunday 8 May also at Braid B.C. at 11.00am. Please try to get along to support Chris and Joan if you can. Good luck, girls.

Finally, a couple of reminders. The lists for entry to the Blyth Pairs, Club Pairs, Birnie Pairs, Davis Triples and Walker Fours are currently on the Notice-boards and need to be completed by Monday 9 May. The first Gents’ Friendly of the season away to Gala Abbotsford B.C. will be held at 2.00pm on Saturday 21 May. The list for players for this match is on the Notice-board in the Clubhouse and we are looking for 4 rinks. Please add your name to the list if you are available.
