About our Ladies Section

Welcome Ladies to our 2017 season

It is my pleasure as Lady Captain of Corstorphine Bowling Club to welcome the Ladies to our 2017 bowling season.

I am looking forward to the Captain’s responsibilities and to continue to help with the good work, tradition and values of the Club and hopefully to encourage new members this year.

Wishing everyone a very successful and enjoyable year

Ladies have always been an integral part of  Corstorphine Bowling Club and players since 1905, however the Ladies section was not established until 1961. Find out more about our Ladies section in the pages linked below:

Each year the Ladies Captain nominates a charity and raise funds by holding various events during the year. In 2016 the nominated charity was Maggies Centre and a total of £2129 was reached.

The above picture shows the presentation of the money raised in 2011, the Ladies Golden Jubilee year. The funds were for the MS Therapy Centre Lothian, based in Leith, to continue its support of over 200 people in Edinburgh living with MS.
