Events week 19th July
Dear members,
Please read the attached document which details the bowling events involving our Club during the week beginning Monday 19 July.
On Tuesday afternoon, our North & West Seniors’ teams play each other in the second ‘local derby’ of the season. Good luck to both teams.
Then, on Tuesday evening, our Gents’ Top Ten will take on Merchiston B.C. at home in the first round of this year’s competition. Stick in, boys.
On Wednesday night, the final EBA Leagues matches take place with the Section 3 team away to Carrickknowe B.C. and the Section 8 team at home to Carrickknowe. All the best, guys.
On Thursday afternoon, our Retired Men’s Bowling Association ‘A’ team will take on Hillside B.C. away in the second leg of the League ‘Playoffs’ final. Good luck, chaps.
Then, on Thursday evening, the Gents’ EBA Knockout competitions kick off with our Singles representative (Scott Mitchell) taking on Craigentinny B.C. at Whitehouse and Grange and our Pairs (Frank Finlayson and Alan Sharp) in action against Northern B.C. at Juniper Green. All the best, boys.
Our Ladies are in action in the Edinburgh Women’s Bowling Association Triples League on Friday afternoon with a game against Maitland B.C. with one triple at home and one away. All the best, ladies.
On Sunday, our EBA Top 5 Singles team will take on Whitehouse & Grange B.C. at home at (provisionally) 2.00pm. Good luck, guys.
Finally, just a wee reminder that the annual Hyland Rigg competition will be held at 2.00pm on Friday 6 August. There is a list on the Gents’ Senior Noticeboard for those wishing to participate. Then, on Sunday 8 August, the annual Clark Fours for our Ladies will take place. Please add your names to the list on the Ladies’ Noticeboard if you want to be involved in this competition.
