Firstly, huge congratulations to Chris Bentley who earlier today won the Ladies’ Championship Final against Joan Mitchell in a wonderful match which was a credit to both players. Well done, Chris.
On Monday afternoon, our Ladies have a rearranged (again!!) EWBA Triples League match against Carrickknowe B.C. with one rink at home and one away. In addition, we have a Heather League match against Bainfield B.C. with one rink at home and one rink away. All the best, ladies.
On Tuesday afternoon, our North & West Seniors’ teams have league matches with the ‘A’ team away to Blackhall B.C. and the ‘B’ team at home to Trinity B.C. Good luck, guys.
On Thursday afternoon, the RMBA Knockout competition continues with our ‘B’ team in action at home to Postal B.C. Stick in, chaps.
On Thursday evening, in the EBA Ladies’ Knockouts Semi-Finals, our Singles (Chris Bentley)will take on Maitland B.C. at Sighthill while our Pairs (Faye Stevens and Theresa Blair) will take on Goldenacre B.C. at Brunstane. Good luck, girls.
On Friday afternoon, the Gents’ EBA Seniors’ Knockouts matches continue with our Singles representative (George Richardson) taking on Wardie B.C. at Goldenacre while our Pairs (Jim Connor and Clint Cassidy) will be in action against Tanfield B.C. also at Goldenacre. All the best, guys.

On Saturday afternoon, the annual Cathy Connet competition will be held. We are sure that everyone involved will have a great day.
Finally, a wee reminder of a couple of upcoming internal competitions. The annual Ladies vs Gents game is scheduled for Sunday 29 August. There are lists on both the Ladies’ and Gents’ Noticeboards if you wish to participate. Then, on the afternoon of Monday 30 August, the annual Ladies’ Page Two-Bowl Pairs competition will be held. Please add your name to the list on the Ladies’ Noticeboard if you want to be involved.
