Please read the attached document which details the bowling events involving our Club during the week beginning Monday 2 July.
Our Ladies Singles (Theresa Blair), Pairs (Rebecca Rutherford and Jean Meiklejohn), Triples (Ellen Hay, Pat Clark and Joan Mitchell) and Fours (Beryl Sutherland, Joan McBain, Chris Bentley and Mary Birnie) are competing in the East of Scotland District Finals at Sighthill on Tuesday (3 July) afternoon. All the best, ladies.
Please note that as the Ladies are playing in these Finals, there will still be a Hat Day on Tuesday but it will be ‘unofficial’ in that it won’t count for the Points Day competition. We hope that as many members as possible will support the Ladies at Sighthill.
In addition, our Senior Singles (Bobby Brown) will be competing in the Final of the ELBA competition against Northern B.C. at Parkside on Sunday 8 July at 11.30am. Best of luck, Bobby. Please try to get along to Parkside to support Bobby in the Final.
As a result of the ELBA Matt Purdie (Over 60s) Trial, Jim Connor was selected for the team and Bernie Callaghan is one of the travelling reserves. Well done, boys. The first game is against Fife B.A. at Brunstane on Monday at Noon.
In the EBL Knockouts, our Gents’ Singles (Ricky Stevens) and Triples (Joe Blair, Tom Mitchell and David McNiven) are both in action on Thursday (5 July) evening at Seafield and Juniper Green respectively. Good luck, boys. Also, our Senior Four (Kenny Orr, Richard Bryce, Bill Cumming and David Sutherland) take on West End B.C. at Juniper Green on Monday afternoon. All the best, guys.
The Ladies have their annual Clark Triples on Sunday 8 July starting at 2.00pm. We are sure that everyone involved will have a great afternoon.
Just a reminder about up-coming events.
The Strawberry Fayre will be held on Sunday 22 July starting at 2.00pm. As well as the obligatory strawberries and ice-cream, there will be a fun day of bowls for all the family to enjoy. Come along and bring your friends and family to this very enjoyable day.
