Theresa Blair won both of her Singles matches in the Steel Trophy (EWBA Champion of Champions) last weekend and now plays in the quarter-final at Carrickknowe on Saturday 24 August. All the best, Theresa.
Our Ladies kick off their EWBA campaigns this week with the Pairs in action against Leith B.C. at Parkside and the Triples take on Hillside B.C. at Carrickknowe on Monday 19 August. If successful, they will have matches at London Road Foundry and Juniper Green respectively on Wednesday 21 August. In addition, our Fours have a match against Whitehouse & Grange B.C. at Merchiston on Wednesday 21 August. All of these games are at 2.00pm. All the best, ladies.
Our Ladies’ EBL teams also take part in the quarter-finals of their Knockout competitions on Thursday 22 August at 6.45pm. The Singles (Chris Bentley) and Triples will both have matches at Craigentinny against Maitland B.C. and Whitehouse & Grange B.C. respectively while the Pairs take on London Road Foundry B.C. at Summerside. Our Gents’ EBL Fours will take on Whitehouse & Grange B.C. at Craigmillar Park also at 6.45pm on Thursday 22 August. All the best, guys.
We will be hosting the Final of the Gents’ Top Ten between Craigentinny B.C. and Sighthill B.C. at 2.00pm on Saturday 24 August. Please try to get along to the Club to see some of the best bowlers in Edinburgh in action.
The annual Ladies vs Gents match will take place at 2.00pm on Sunday 25 August. We are sure everyone will have a very enjoyable afternoon.

The annual Sanderson Invitation Triples competition which will take place on Sunday 1 September. Please add your names onto the list of participants on the ‘Mixed’ Notice-board in the Clubhouse.
The ‘RugBowl’ Trophy will be contested again this year at 12.30pm on Sunday 8 September. This competition was inaugurated in memory on Alister Paterson, Dougie Dewar and Harry West who were stalwarts of both the Bowling and Rugby Clubs. It has been a wonderful success in 2017 and 2018 and there is a list on the ‘Mixed’ Notice-board for those wishing to participate this year. Please add your name if you wish to be involved.
